HMS Daffodil (1917)
HMS ''Daffodil'' was one of three train ferry ships (, , and ) that were built in 1917, and which were requisitioned by the Royal Navy during World War II. ''TF2'' was lost off Saint-Valery-en-Caux on 13 June 1940 (at ); shortly after, ''TF1'' and ''TF3'' were renamed HMS ''Princess Iris'' and HMS ''Daffodil'' respectively, after two ex-Mersey ferries which took part in the 1918 Zeebrugge Raid. They were converted into Landing Ship Sternchute (LSS) and used as locomotive transports. HMS ''Daffodil'' was lost off Dieppe on 18 March 1945, at , after striking a mine.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=London and North Eastern Railway )
